Angel Beats!
Binged this in anticipation for the collab with Heaven Burns Red, and it sure laid the groundwork for that game and modern Jun Maeda
It was good(?) yet felt rushed. Some characters are truly just background and when they have their moments there's a serious lack of oomph because of it. Outside of the main protagonist, there also seemed to be some rush on getting the main stars to where they needed to be character-wise without fully earning it.
But Maeda got me with Yui's story. I may be a mark for him writing but shedding some tears isn't the worst thing.
